1. Create a Reading Nook

Every playroom should absolutely have a reading nook!
Reading is one of my favorite things to do with Eli & you can build custom shelving so easily. Plus books are so pretty they can count as decor too!
Check out the shelving we added in Eli’s nursery along with the scrap wood book storage unit we just built!

My mom made each grandkid their own superhero cape with their names on them & has baskets filled with fun masks, crowns, & everything in between!

The whole point of a playroom is to give your littles a space to create & play, so setting up an art station is a must!

You can create a gallery wall for pretty cheap by spray painting old or thrift store frames & adding these giant clothes pins will make switching out their masterpieces easy.
5. Tree House

This is by far my favorite part of the playroom, the treehouse!
This treehouse was built solely out of a vision my mom had,
It is mainly made out of plywood & 2x4s.
I wish I had plans to give y’all & maybe soon we can put some together but we kinda just grabbed some wood & went for it!
After that
Sadie’s favorite part of this room is that little mailbox. My mom leaves little prizes & notes for the kids to find & they just love getting mail.
You don’t need a whole treehouse for your playroom to be great though, a sheet tent or cave made out of cardboard boxes would be fun too!
6. Extra Fun Seating

Swings, boats, & trucks aren’t only for the outside
This swing is a big hit in the playroom & can be swapped out with a baby swing version easily.
The truck & boat
We purchased the truck of Facebook Marketplace so I don’t have a link but here is another version.
7. Get Creative With Floors & Walls

What makes this playroom extra special is definitely all the color & creativity that went into the walls & floors.
She hand-painted the floors to resemble grass & a little pond.

By the treehouse, we used grass carpet to give the floor a little texture. She hand-painted the cloud

Even the walls are a place to play when you add a Lego wall & colored tube ball game!

We used a Cricut machine to print out vinyl for the quotes & flowers

Even the picket fence gate fits the theme & is simply made out of thin wood fence planks!
Lots of love went into creating this playroom & lots of fun is had in it daily!

Hi, could you please share what paint colors you used for the walls, particularly the teal/blue and the pink for the trim? They look so beautiful together!
I wish I knew! They were just a bunch of oops paint cans.
What is the pink trim color here? I love it!
That was a gallon of oops paint actually! I wish I knew the color!
