Where this all began
Originally from Michigan I moved with my family after college to the beautiful & hot sweet home Alabama! I earned my degree in Industrial Electronics & used it for many years before committing to Southern Yankee DIY full time in 2023.
My husband Adam & I bought a house on our dream property of 18 acres. The house needs some serious updating but we are up for the task! We tackle all types of DIY projects and renovations while chasing around our kiddo, 2 cows, 3 dogs, and a few chickens.
I am also the Children’s Minister at our church & it is such a blessing to get to serve God in that ministry & through Southern Yankee DIY.
