ORC Nursery Renovation: Week 4
We are almost there y’ all! Almost to the end of the Spring One Room Challenge nursery renovation. If you are just joining us, we are participating in the Spring One Room Challenge which is an event hosted by Better Homes & Gardens, where lots of talented bloggers get together & transform a room in 6 weeks! For this ORC we chose to take on the nursery.
~ Week 1 ~ Week 2 ~ Week 3 ~ Week 4 ~ Week 5 ~ Reveal ~
With only one work week left before the big reveal, we are feeling the pressure, not to mention baby Eli’s due date is just around the corner. This week we tackled the nursery furniture. I decided to transform an old buffet we had into a functional changing table & repainted a nightstand I found on a garage sale site to match.

I am in love with how it turned out! We freshened it up with some Sherwin Willaims, Software grey paint & painted all the hardware with some black paint I had laying around from a previous project.

The grey complements the splendor blue we chose for the wall color so nicely!

To really make it functional I found these super cute jars at TJ Max & filled them with diaper rash creams, Q-tips, & puffballs. We are using those two soap dispensers to hold hand sanitizer & baby lotion. For quick changes, we are storing our diapers, washcloths, & some toys in our tiered stand.

I painted my garage sale site nightstand the same grey as the buffet. Sadly there is no before photo because I have some terrible baby brain yall.

I am using the cloth bin underneath the nightstand for burp cloths & will organize our feeding essentials in the drawer since this is right next to our rocking chair.

Even pacifiers can look super cute when they are stored in a pretty jar!
We also got all our other nursery furniture in this week & put up the new light fixture, you might have seen a sneak peek on our Instagram!
Lets see what all we have left:
–Build shelving for closet-Install laminate flooring-Tall board & batten-Paint-Makeover buffet into a changing table- -Nautical art
-Buy nursery furniture- Install shelving
Install new light fixture- The fan is here!
We are moving right along! Next week I will be buttoning up this project by putting up the shelving & making the nautical art sign for above the crib!
