The first time we took on our Laundry Room Makeover. If you are unfamiliar with this challenge it is where a bunch of amazingly talented bloggers get together & take on renovating an entire room in 6 weeks! The challenge is sponsored by Better Homes & Gardens & a great way to connect with other bloggers for some fabulous room inspiration, so be sure to check them all out with the link above!

Baby Eli Nursery Design

Y’all this may be my favorite project to date & I can’t wait to get started! As soon as we found out we were having a boy my head has been swimming with nursery ideas & also chocolate cake because you know, pregnancy.

I have a long list of To Do’s for this room & I can’t wait to get started. Right now the room is used as a spare bedroom & absolutely nothing has been done to it because we knew this would be our future nursery. It is a blank canvas ready to be created. We are going to go with a nautical theme for the room, an old ship my papa had & loved was my inspiration. Our plan is to have that ship as the focal point for the room & it will be a great way to display a memory of him. We have already chosen Sherwin Williams Splendor Blue as the wall color, with Oxford White for the board & batten. I love the idea of gray accent colors but I’m not sure which gray is the right gray yet. Our budget for the project is $2000 including furniture.

Heres my list of projects that need to completed before D day (see what I did there?)

Of course, with any project, I like to start with some Pinterest inspiration & here are some finds I love:

I am super into this tufted crib from Bambi Baby. I love the fabric & can hopefully find one similar in a darker grey
I sat in this rocker at Buy Buy Baby & felt like I was sitting in heaven. I really wanted something stylish but mainly comfy because I feel like we will be spending a lot of time in this baby.
How adorable is this buffet transformation into a changing table, from Design Mag?! I already have the buffet so that will definitely help our baby room budget out! I want to paint it a darker gray to accent the Splendor Blue walls.
This tall board & batten look from The Inspired Room is one of the top priorities for the baby room. I love the craftsman feel board & batten adds to a room. This was one of the first projects we completed in our half bath & it was so simple!
How sweet are these nautical prints I found on Etsy?! I love that they are cute but not too kiddy, definitely something Eli will be able to grow with.
This mobile from Go Nautical gives me all the nautical feels. I am still debating whether or not to DIY my own or just splurge on this one. I guess it will depend on how we do with the baby room budget!
I have been eyeing this fan from Lightology for a long time now, searching for the perfect place to put it & I think the nursery will be a good fit! I love how funky & modernish it is.
The closet from Style Me Pretty is organization goals! Our plan is to do a simpler version of our MDF built-in bookcases we added to the office which will save us a bunch of money. I like the shelves in this closet & the different sections for hanging.

So those are my inspiration photos for this baby room project & I can’t wait to see how we put our own spin on it all. I know we are both super excited for baby Eli to get here but we have plenty to keep us busy until he arrives!
