Y’all this has been a year!
Truthfully one of my best & most favorite years, we have been so truly blessed & I am so thankful to all of you who have shared our two most recent major life events:
I got married to my best friend
& the three of us became a family!
we bought our forever home on 18 acres!
Those memories I will forever distinctly remember!
So in 2021 we successfully:
- Sold 2 houses
- Bought a fixer-upper on 18 acres of land
- Planned a wedding (including making all our tables & benches)
- Got married!!
- Renovated a bunch of rooms (don’t worry I’ll show you all the things below)
- Added cows & turkeys to the Watson Farms crew!
So in honor of an amazing year let’s review the 21 posts & projects you liked best!
These are the simplest lanterns to make & they are perfect for outdoor & indoor decor!
We even used them at our wedding & my sisters baby shower.
This diy flower cart is a hit for obvious reasons! It is so dang adorable & budget friendly to make.
We have used this more than any other piece of decor for parties, our wedding, & just cute outside decor!
It is the perfect cake stand, favor display, or housing for your fresh herbs or flowers.
Our dining room table, chair, & seat cover was an obvious favorite because we did it all using one brand of paint!
The fabric paint is still holding strong even after 3 washes (you know, toddlers…).

We removed the wall in our new master bedroom where the closet once was to really open up the space!
It is one of the best decisions we have made so far & we didn’t even have to repair drywall!
Now we are slowly but surely turning it into an office/sitting nook, that will be a 2022 project 😉
It’s no wonder this project was a popular one 😅
This before photo is rough & the room was much worse trust me!
Eli’s big boy toddler bedroom renovation was the first room we tackled at the farmhouse & for good reason!
This room is now a cozy oasis for our little dude, see the reveal here.
Our dining rooms new accent wall is now a focal point in our home.
The stone panels were so simple to install & really took this room to the next level.
Our leather couch has been one of my favorite home furnishing purchases this year!
I am so glad I went for it.
This splurge vs save living room couch list I put together for y’all was another favorite!
It’s packed full of all my favorite couch finds.
Apparently I’m not the only one who only wants popcorn on movie nights, not on ceilings.
This popcorn ceiling removal tutorial ranked pretty high on the list this year & has really transformed each room we have used it in.
We started out with 7 rooms needing it removed & now we are down to two!
Just because you are dealt a small room doesn’t mean you have to live with one.

This chicken coop makeover is still underway & will hopefully be finished in the spring of 2022!
But for now this diy dutch door is already a huge improvement from what was there!
We are painting all the trim in the our farmhouse, well not all of it…
But we are making our way through a lot of it & with all this gorgeous inspo I can’t help myself!

Our wedding really was a fairytale & it also didn’t break the bank which is every brides goal!
We were able to DIY so many amazing things for our wedding so that we could save money & come in under budget.
The best part is, everything looked high end & not homemade!
This DIY workbench was desperately needed with all of the renovation going on & really helped to keep us organized amidst all the chaos!
Being able to role it around is also a huge bonus, not mention it only took 3 hours to create.
We have already gained that time back by not having to do a tool battery search party everyday 😅
Our keg beer bar is hands down one of the funnest projects of 2021!
We have used it for football Saturdays & our wedding so far.
I think Adam might be dreaming of a man cave for it’s permanent home but that’s a project for the distant future 😉

The whiskey & cigar bar was such a huge hit at our wedding that I wanted to share it with y’all & you guys definitely made it a favorite!

We made 10 of these tables total for our wedding & they were absolutely perfect!
Now it serves as our favorite outdoor eating spot at our home.
Our laundry room renovation was a major project since we moved it from the kitchen to across the house 😅
It is one of my favorite renovations of 2021 & the marble accent wall was just the icing on the cake!

This was a project were the only guidance I had was a vision in my head & it came to life even better than I thought it would.
They were so easy to build & made our master bedroom feel so much larger!
