Serving Tray Refresh
Serving Tray Refresh
THRIFT STORE SERVING TRAY GETS A COMPLETE REFRESH WITH CONTACT PAPER & PAINT. MAKEOVER ANY OLD SERVING TRAY WITH THIS SIMPLE UPDATE.
It is getting hot out there y’all! I don’t know where your located but over here in Alabama we are sweating while we stand & our hair is not okay! When I found out this months blog tour was BBQ themed my first thought was “oh know I’m going to melt” immediately followed by “do something with refreshments.” So I bring to you a super simple DIY serving tray refresh. See what I did there, “refresh”ments are served on a tray, Ill laugh enough for all of us don’t worry.?
I found this serving tray a while ago at the thrift store for like $3, & it was nice & heavy so I snatched it up. It’s pretty but does not go with my style at all, so I decided to do another contact paper makeover since I fell so in love with the contact paper furniture makeover I did for the guest bedroom refresh!
Before:

First, I sanded the tray down & then I gave it three coats of white paint.

The tray really needed to be lightened up, so I went with this super cute patterned contact paper.

Then did that super fancy measuring thing where I just hold the paper up to the tray, mark it, & cut.

And like any good DIYer, of course, I used the right tool for the job & smoothed the paper down with a Cheesecake Factory gift card. No, they did not sponsor this post, but I am definitely open to it if they want me!

Ta-da! A super simple update that pops. This tray is perfect for backyard BBQs or styled on a coffee table. I love a super simple DIY thats also budget savvy!
