Pottery Barn Knockoff Table Decor
CREATE A BEAUTIFUL & EXPENSIVE LOOKING TABLESCAPE USING DOLLAR TREE ITEMS
I know it can’t only be me swooning over the Pottery Barn catalog imagining all the gorgeous decor on my table… and then the reality hits me that the cost of one charger is $20 & I buy bargain toothbrushes. So clearly that is not an option, but you know what is always an option? A good Pottery Barn Knockoff using Dollar Tree supplies!
Don’t get me wrong some things are worth a good splurge every now & then but a plate that sits under a plate does not make that list for me. So, determined to have a designer Esque tablescape on a DIY budget I took myself to the Dollar Tree!
These are the chargers I am going to try and recreate for a bargain! Aren’t they beautiful?!
Supplies:
- Dollar Tree Chargers
- Black Spray Paint
- Lighter Black Sample Paint
- Sponge
Procedure:

Start by spray painting a single charger with black spray paint. Only paint one at a time because spray paint drys kinda quickly.

After the charger is evenly covered in spray paint (edges too) its time to dap around with the sponge.

Dab the sponge around the charger in a random pattern. This is not a super scientific method, just dab around until your heart desires.

This is how it should look once you are all done dabbing, but don’t worry we aren’t done yet!

Once the spray paint has dried completely I went back over the tray with a lighter black. This will give the charger that galvanized look!

Y’all this may be one of my favorite & also easiest Pottery Barn knockoff projects yet!

The DIY chargers were so simple & add a pop to my tablescape. The best part is they are perfect for any theme & season. I especially can’t wait to use them for my Halloween table setting!
It feels so good when you are able to knockoff an expensive piece of decor before super cheap. Just think 4 of these charges would have cost me $80, I made mine for $6, if that’s
