THE BEST KITCHEN PANTRY DESIGN & ORGANIZATION IDEAS
UPDATE: See The Complete Pantry Reveal Here
It’s official y’all, we are moving onto our next renovation & it’s one I have been waiting a long time for… the pantry!
This space desperately needs some TLC because it is a mess.
Plus it’s on my 2020 home project list so its gotta get done.
Currently it has 3 wire shelving units & tons of wasted space, but lots of potential!
Like always I need to do this renovation on a teeny tiny budget so its going to have to all be DIY-ed by yours truly!
All of our big renovations start with a design board so that I can focus my thoughts & get my ideas in order.
This also helps me get my budget together because I kind of have an idea of what I’ll need.
If you are new here, we are taking part in this seasons One Room Challenge. This challenge is one of my favorites, a bunch of amazing DIY-ers take on renovating an entire room in just 6 weeks!

It’s not good but it has load of potential!
Here are some of my favorite pantry designs:

This pantry from Martha Stewart is color coded dreams

How gorgeous is this mauve-green color?!
I definitely want to do a fun cabinet color!

This gold hardware & light fixture are swoon-worthy for sure!
A new light is definitely on the list of To-Dos!

This bright white pantry is so pretty & I really like the drawer & open shelving combination.

I really wish I could find the source for this gorgeous pantry!
That ladder is so cool, I can only imagine the fun Eli would have swinging off of it ?

This pantry’s middle cabinet
I love the mix of bright white & natural wood elements.

If I could keep anything alive I would love to have an herb garden in my pantry!
Pantry Storage Favorites

Keeping potatoes & onions neat & organized in a drawer like this would be very ideal.

The idea of having neat little matching jars for all my spices makes my heart very happy!

These labels are super adorable.

Grab & go snack bins are an amazing idea!

Those metal baskets are so cute, especially filled with little mason jars!

I like big jars & I cannot lie!

For our pantry this is what I’m thinking:

DIY Pantry Remodel And Pantry Design Ideas On A Budget
The plan is to create DIY custom cabinets with doors for the lower level of the pantry.
I also plan on making 1 large shelving until for small cooking appliances.

Wouldn’t the cabinets & shelves look amazing with a fun pop of color?!
I am currently digging Trellis Vine by Behr.
It’s a beautiful greenish blue that will look great with gold hardware!

I am torn on if I like this sweet penny tile, subway tile, or maybe a fun stencil better for a backsplash in-between the cabinets & upper shelving. What do y’all think?

On top of the cabinets, I would love to have butcher block countertops. They would add a natural wood element & be perfect for doing any prep work on. How gorgeous is this Wormy Maple Edge Wood from Hardwood Lumber Company?!

Plus no room renovation is complete without a gorgeous new light fixture!

The storage will be a mix of large glass jars & plastic clear containers. I also like the baskets for holding grab & go snacks.
I can’t wait to get started y’all! It is going to be a lot of work & a few projects we have never attempted before but that will just make it extra fun! The budget will be teeny tiny again for this makeover so everything needs will be DIY-ed & shopped to death to find the best deals! Let me know what your favorite part is!

That Green Cabinet inspo pic is everything!
Yes I am in love with that color!
I love the plans but I never really understood different containers for your food. It looks pretty but if you have a har with a little bit of dried pasta left and you buy a new box and cant put the whole new box of pasta in the jar-then what do you do with the box and remaining pasta? 😂 i love baskets tho. They hold all the boxes of pasta. Have fun!
That is an great point Sarah & how do you know how much pasta to make once its in the jar?! I have so many questions but I love how it looks!
So much beautiful inspiration and I love what you chose for your design. I especially love that light fixture!
Thanks Linda! It is a super fun one!
