Super simple 4th of July tablescape inspiration on a DIY budget without looking cheesy.
What’s more American than the 4th of July y’all! We love celebrating the 4th in the Southern Yankee house, every year we host a BBQ for friends & family in the backyard. Whenever I decorate my home I always start in our dining room with a fun, festive tablescape. My goal for this 4th of July tablescape was to keep it simple & be as far from cheesy as possible & I think we nailed it!
I love that this tablescape has all the patriotic vibes without being
If you follow along with our Instagram stories you know one of my favorite decorating “tricks” is to fill all the flower vases with water, yes even if they are fake!
I think it helps to make them look more real, just be sure to replace the water to keep it looking fresh. I love to decorate with real flowers but sometimes it’s just not feasible, especially when you kill absolutely everything.
For the place settings I added these red salad plates for a pop of color, can you believe I got them for $1 a piece?! Confession time: the majority of our plates are from the dollar store, yep its true. This makes it easy to change out place settings for the different holidays & if someone accidentally breaks one I’m not devastated.
The little decorative flag piece on each plate is actually just a banner I bought & cut up to add an extra “merica” feel.
That’s it, an easy peasy 4th of July tablescape that is festive without being cheesy!
