Who says Halloween decor can’t be cute and colorful 😉
While we were knee deep in both our kitchen and half bath renovations I couldn’t help but peek outside and notice the chicken coop has not been decorated for Halloween!

This might seem a little “extra” but honestly I haven’t put out any Halloween decorations at all, in fact our toddler probably doesn’t even know it’s October…
I couldn’t let that stand but I also needed to decorate it quickly and on a budget.
So I grabbed some of my favorite WORKPRO Tools and got to work!
DIY Colorful Halloween Project Ideas
Since it is also breast cancer awareness month we thought a pink and colorful theme would be perfect!
DIY Wooden Pumpkin Build
Supplies:
-3/4″ Plywood
-Scrap 2×4 Pieces
-WORKPRO® 20V Pink Cordless Drill
-WORKPRO® Jigsaw
-Pencil
-Spray Paint
Obviously the coop needed some cute DIY pumpkins so I grabbed some scrap plywood & traced out some large pumpkins.

Next I used my jigsaw to cut out the pumpkins from the plywood.

Once I had all three pumpkins cut out I used a hand sander to clean up the edges a bit.

Now that they are smooth it’s time to add the “stand” portion.
For this I simply used scrap 2x4s cut into a triangle.

The triangles are attached to the back of the pumpkin with 2-1/4″ wood screws.
Our pumpkins aren’t super large so one stand per pumpkin was plenty, but if yours seems a bit unstable just add another 2×4.

After I primed the pumpkins I painted them each a different variation of pink and purple.
They are so dang cute and similar ones online start at $35 per pumpkin meanwhile we were able to whip these up for free!

You could even stencil the fronts with fall sayings, names, or even your address for some sweet front porch decor.
Cauldron Flower Pots
Supplies:
-Plastic Cauldrons or Pots
-WORKPRO® 20V Pink Cordless Drill
-Painters Tape
-Spray Paint
This has to be the simplest Halloween decor idea ever!
I found these black cauldrons at the Dollar General for $4 each, I snapped up two because I knew all they needed to reach their full potential was a little spray paint 😉

First I painted them with two coats of white spray paint.
Once they were dry I tapped off an area around the top and sprayed it in a pretty light pink.

While the paint dried I flipped the cauldrons over and drilled some drainage holes from the bottom.

I am learning (plant mom newbie here) that drainage holes are a must if you want anything to survive longer than a week…
Once I had the mums planted I added this sweet little spider and the pots were complete for $8!

DIY Colorful Pumpkin Wreath
Supplies:
-Mini/Small Pumpkins
-Spray Paint
-WORKPRO® Pink Hot Glue Gun
-WORKPRO®Pink Multi-Tool
-Toothpicks
-Foam Wreath
Does anyone else have a random assortment of fake pumpkins 😅

If you happen to be a pumpkin hoarder like me, you will love this next project!

I started by gathering all the random pumpkins I own and spray painted them in different hues of pink/purple.
The easiest way to successfully spray the pumpkins without them blowing off a table or getting your hands covered in paint, is to use a kabob stick and some super cute WORKPRO® gloves!

Once everything was dry enough to start assembling I started by using my multitool to cut a bunch of toothpicks in half.
Shove the flat end of the toothpick into the bottom of the pumpkin, leaving the pointy side facing up.

Next, hot glue the area around the toothpick, then place the pumpkins around the foam wreath.

It is extremely helpful to have a cordless hot glue gun like this one because undoubtedly some will need a little extra glue after the hanging process 😅
Extra Halloween Fun
After a few more finishing touches the coop will be complete and ready for a spooky good time!

I drilled a few small holes and attached hooks for these creepy crawlers to hang from.

My staple gun came in handy for attaching these black felt bats to the coop wall.
I also used it to attach some string lighting around the coop.
This wasn’t really a Halloween project per se, but I had been wanting to do it for a while so I seized the opportunity 😉

Our last lighting feature is these plastic pumpkins I painted gold.

Inside I placed one of these cool EverBrite Tap Lights!

They have a bunch of fun color options to amplify all our colorful decor.

Colorful Halloween Decor Reveal
The coop is officially Halloween ready!

It came out even cuter than I thought it would and I am loving our colorful theme.

My favorite part is that all the projects were super budget friendly or free to make!

I think I will whip up a few more of these wooden pumpkins for our front porch and stain them to match our shutters.
It would be super cute to put one by the mailbox too with our address stenciled on it!

I also want to snag the pumpkin wreath for our own front door 😅
It is so colorful and fun, plus my cordless hot glue gun made that project a breeze!

The coop looks so charming at night now too with all our new lighting additions!

I can’t wait to play around with all the puck light color options.
