Throw Pillows & Blankets To Accent A Brown Couch
The most beautiful & budget-friendly throw pillows & blankets to accent a brown leather couch
Y’all this right here feels like my first big girl couch purchase ever!
Don’t get me wrong I have owned a few couches, but this one felt like a daring & risky purchase.
Maybe because not everyone can appreciate the beauty of a brown leather couch (their loss) so I felt intimidated & unsure if I should let my heart have what it really wanted.
Well I am here to say I am so glad I did & now I wanna share all the amazing ways I love to accent it!

I have no idea why I was so scared of this couch, it goes perfectly with everything while remaining chic, modern, & cozy.

– Brown Leather Couch – Rug – Faux Ficus Tree
My favorite hues to pair with the soft brown leather are deep & pale greens!
I love lots of accent pillows & cozy throws on the couch.

Mix & matching throw pillows is my favorite way to change the whole vibe of the room.
It is a budget savvy way to change styles & if you go the pillow cover route, they are super easy to store & clean.
There are so many combinations possible but here are my best tips to get the designer look:
Tip #1- Add Different Textures

– Pillow Set –
Choose different styles & textures to arrange together. Fluffy fun pillows pair flawlessly with knit prints or velvet particularly. This will create dimension in the most eye catching type of way!
Tip #2- Vary Pillow Sizes

– Slate Printed Pillow – Linen Pillow – Lumbar Pillow –
I like to add small, large, & medium pillows to different arrangements, mixing in lumbar pillows with regular square keeps the accents interesting & ascetically pleasing.
Tip #3- Mix In Cozy Throw Blankets

– Pink Accent Pillow – Round Pillow – Gray Blanket –
Pillows & blankets are the staples of any good & cozy couch sitting, but they can also accent each other & double as beautiful decor!
Tip #4- Stay Away From Cheesy Pillows

–Slate Printed Pillow– Striped Pillow – Rustic Barn Lumbar Pillow –
Don’t shoot the messenger but you probably won’t find pillows that say “home” or “family” in many designer magazines… If you absolutely love them though then it’s yours space, but if you want to get away from the cheese choose a hand drawn illustration instead! They can add character to the living room without bringing in any cheese!
Tip #5- Mix Bold With Neutral

–Pink Throw Pillow – White Pillow Set – Dark Green Blanket–
This is definitely the place you can experiment & play with fun colors & patterns! Be sure to mix in neutrals & solids as well so that the combination is not over whelming & too much.
Tip #6- Bold Isn’t Always Necessary

While vibrant colors are fun & can be eye catching, soft hues & prints can be just as chic & eye catching as their brighter counterparts. I love using pale & muted colors especially in fall & winter months.
Tip #7- Pillow Insert Size

–Cream Pillow Set – Fuzzy Throw Blanket –
This is my biggest throw pillow tip! Always buy pillow covers a size smaller than your inserts. This will make your accent pillows look & feel extra plush. I have had the best luck with these ones keeping their shape & form.
The most important thing is that you embrace your own style & choose patterns & prints that are functional for your family & look!
