The Best Solar Powered Light Options
Easily update any outdoor space with these budget solar powered light options
One of my very favorite things to add to our outdoor spaces is solar powered lighting!
Solar powered lighting has changed the game for outdoor decor y’all.
No more strings dangling everywhere, outlet hunting, or big ugly extension cords sprawled about.

The only non solar powered or battery powered lights on our front porch are the lanterns.
They recently got an upgrade though, with these faux flame LED lightbulbs.
We have been working on a complete front porch makeover recently & that includes adding all the lighting!
Eventually I would love to add ceiling fans out here, but honestly taking the vinyl off the ceiling scares me a little 😅
Instead I found this gorgeous solar powered pendant light from Walmart!
It was less than $100 for the largest size available & it comes with a remote.
We hung it using a swag hook & attached the solar panel portion to the edge of the ceiling.
I am in big puffy heart love with how amazing it looks over the outdoor table.
It gives off the perfect glow & really sets the mood for our evening dinners.
The pendant & our battery powered candles make this space feel so romantic now.
Speaking of romantic, my second favorite outdoor eating spot is this cozy little spot off of the back porch.
This is one of the tables we built for our wedding, which makes it extra special.
It’s off the back porch quite a ways so these solar powered outdoor string lights worked our perfectly!
They come on automatically when it gets dark & give off a ton of light.
I love how chunky the bulbs are & they are easy to change out if one burns out.
Chicken Coop
Even our chicken coop is in on the solar powered lights.
This farmhouse pendant light is the cutest little addition to the coop & helps to deter any unwanted pests.
We also added these solar powered garden lights to highlight our front landscaping & potting bench.
Basically we are big, huge, giant fans of solar powered outdoor LED lighting!
You have to be careful though & really read reviews to make sure the ones you are purchasing actually work…
