No one panic, I am fully aware that it
To get me in the fall mood I thought I would makeover some Dollar Tree pumpkins I had from last year.
Dollar Tree is one of my go-to stores for seasonal decor for two reasons: 1. the price, obviously 2. I like to change up my theme each year so I have to buy things I don’t mind repainting 50 billion times.
Plus they have an unlimited number of pumpkins which is exactly what you are gonna need for these fun fall decor projects.

DIY Dollar Tree Pumpkin Cake Plate
Supplies:
- Foam Pumpkins
- Hot Glue Gun
- Construction Grade Hot Glue Sticks
- Spray Paint
- Wood Edge Glue Panel
Process:

First, paint the edge-glued panel and pumpkins your preferred fall themes colors.
Initially I went with a dark blue and white pumpkin color scheme and later changed to a classic burnt orange scheme. That’s the best part of DIY projects, you can change your mind.

Next, take out the small stem on each of the pumpkins.

Next, take a hot glue gun and glue the two pumpkins together.
I am a big fan of the construction grade hot glue sticks!

Paint or stain the edge glued panel your desired color. I highly recommend sealing it with food safe sealer,
Finally attach the pumpkin tower to the edge glued panel with more hot glue.

I am not sure why I got all the way to this point before realizing I wasn’t happy with the white and blue color combo. Luckily it was an easy fix.
All I had to do was saran wrap the white pumpkin and paint the tray and blue pumpkin the burnt orange color I really wanted.

That’s it, the easiest pumpkin decor ever…. that is until you see the next one!

Do you think I made the right call painting the pumpkins burnt orange instead of blue?

DIY Pumpkin Candle Stick Holders
Supplies:
- Foam Pumpkins
- Knife
- Tall Candle Sticks
- Spray paint
How to make pumpkin candle stick holders:

These are the same foam pumpkins I had from last year, but I wanted to change up my color scheme.

Start by removing the stem and tracing the base of the candle onto the top of the pumpkin.

Next, use a knife to cut around the outline and remove the foam inside. I cut about half way into the pumpkin

Be careful to not cut too large of an opening or the candle won’t have a snug fit.
If you do cut too much you can always shim foam back in and glue it into place. It will all look cohesive after the pumpkins are painted.

Make sure the candle fits well, if it is a little wobbly cut deeper into the pumpkin and remove more foam.

Next, paint the pumpkin candle sticks in your desired fall color scheme.
This year I am going with a natural fall theme. Rust and copper colors are making my heart happy this fall.
Depending on the type of foam your pumpkins are made out of, you may need to use chalk paint for painting them. Some spray paints eat away at certain types of foam and materials.

Each pumpkin will need about two coats of paint.
I love these pumpkin candle stick holders, they would be great for displaying tea light candles too.

The best part is this DIY pumpkin decor project can be completed during nap time!

I can’t wait to finish decorating for fall this year. My plans are to keep it simple and cozy with natural fall colors.
